BMW 1-series Now Released, Guaranteed Available in Three-door Form with Finance options

BMW 1-series Now Released, Guaranteed Available in Three-door Form with Finance options

Pictures and details of the upcoming three-door BMW 1-series has just been released by BMW. Although having only three doors, the new 1-series shares the same length, width and height as the five-door 1 series. The new three-door is also longer than the model preceding it by 85mm. Its 30mm longer wheelbase with wider front and rear tracks gives a much bigger cabin space.

The new 1-series is available as a four or a five seater. With the longer wheelbase, the boot space is increased to 360 liters (up by 30 liters) and 1,200 liters with the rear seats stowed.

The entry level 1-series, the 114i, is equipped with a 101bhp 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with a fuel consumption of 49.6mpg and emits 132g/km of CO2. One notch up the ladder is the 116i powered by a 2.0-liter 134bhp turbocharged petrol engine consuming 51mpg and emitting 129g/km for CO2. The 125i is powered by the same engine but it is tuned to a more powerful 215bhp.

The flagship model, the M135i is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged 315bhp six cylinder engine. It ain’t no sloth with only 5.1 seconds to hit 0-62mph. Its fuel consumption sits at 35.3mpg and emits 188g/km of CO2.

Sitting in the diesel lineup is the 116d, 118d and the 125d. The 116d is made up of two versions. While both are powered by the same 2.0-liter 114bhp four cylinder turbocharged engine, the EfficientDynamics version offers a more economical option with 74.3mpg of fuel consumption and emitting only 99g/km of CO2.

The top of the line diesel is only offered in M Sport Trim. It gets  215bhp engine, enough to launch it from 0-62mph in 6.3 seconds. Its fuel consumption sits at 57.6mpg and emits 129g/km of CO2. It is available with a six speed manual gearbox standard though there is also an option for an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The car is also available in five different trim levels: ES, SE, Sport, Urban and the range topper M Sport. Entry level models are offered with keyless start, 16” wheels, ABS and ESP. The SE adds to the car a 6.5” display, multi-function steering wheel and also USB and Bluetooth capabilities.

The Sport trim comes with 17” wheels, sportier looking bumpers, sport seats as well as sport steering wheel with red stitches adorning it. The Urban also rolls on 17” alloys but the interior is classier with half-leather ulphostery.

The range topper M Sport is equipped with sporty looking bumpers, bodykit, 18” wheels, sport seats and also a tailor made suspension system. The M135i gets M Sport brakes, steering and suspension system.

The three-door BMW 1 Series will cost from £17,300 for the 114i ES all the way up to £29,995 for the M135i. Orders can be placed now with deliveries starting this September so why not consider MSG Cars for your funding options – we might not be able to offer Guaranteed Car Finance but we are specialists in the Non Prime area and so offer the very best chance of getting you into the car of your dreams with the minimum of fuss.

New Mini Country Coupe Defies Conventions as Guaranteed to have powerful engine

New Mini Country Coupe Defies Conventions as Guaranteed to have powerful engine

The all new Countryman Coupe by Mini has just been spotted doing test runs for the very first time. Previewed at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show as the Paceman Concept, the Countryman Coupe will be going into production next year together with the five-door Countryman.

Mini thought they would keep the Paceman name for the production cars, however it would most likely be called the Countryman Coupe now due to how established that name has become. The three-door Countryman Coupe will still share the same Paceman styling concept. The platform and floor structure is shared together with the five-door Countryman.

The same windscreen on the Countryman will also be found on the Coupe however its height is reduced by 20mm. The Countryman Coupe is a totally different car from the screen rearwards – the exterior is completely different. The length of the Coupe sits at 4110mm which is a little longer than the Countryman and its front bumper is about 20mm shorter.

Despite the change in size though, there will be no shortage of shoulder room in the rear cabin as with the Countryman. While most Coupe occupants struggle to find themselves comfortable in the car, the Countryman Coupe will have a lot of rear legroom as well as more than enough headroom.

The Countryman Coupe defies the Mini convention at the rear end of the car. A much smoother and flowing surface replaces the vertical sheet metal and shutlines that characterize the other models in the lineup.

In an unsurprising move, Mini has also ditched the rule of vertical tail lights surrounded on all sides with painted bodywork. The lights of the Coupe are large and its cuts right into the tail gate creating a rear elevation unlike any other Minis.

The Countryman Coupe will probably come with the most powerful Mini engines in line with it being the most expensive Mini ever made but if you feel the need to look into arranging finance for a purchase when it arrives then make MSG Cars your first port of call. Our Non Prime funding options are second to none and so we are the best choice if you want an honest answer to you getting approved on finance or lease – even with bad credit.

Jaguar Unveils New F-Type, but backed by Tata?

Jaguar Unveils New F-Type, but backed by Tata

Jaguar has surprisingly announced that they will be releasing an all new Jaguar F-type. Announced at the New York Auto Show, but not yet unveiled, the only visual image we can get is a spy photo of the car with camo-paint.

The F-type is a two-seater sports car based on the C-X16 and is set to be released to the masses come summer 2013. Global brand director for Jaguar, Adrian Hallmark, said the car will be unveiled in its final production form later in 2012.

If it is going be based on the C-X16, it better be good. If you didn’t know already, the C-X16 is a compact rear wheel drive coupe complete with 50:50 weight distribution – this means awesome handling and sports performance.

Here’s an image of the C-X16. Notice the similarities in the headlamps. Would the F-type really look like this? No promises, but it would be awesome if it did.

Jaguar aims to be a world-leader in the sports car segment with the launch of the F-type. Being absent from this market for way too long, Jaguar has finally decided that they will now try and take over but with financial and stability backing from the giant Indian car maker Tata.

Not that this would mean any compromise in quality, but let’s hope not. After all, this Jaguar would still come with a hefty price tag. However, the F-type would still be a great car, though. The F-type will be built extensively using aluminum so hopefully this would bring the weight of the car down a lot.

The F-type will also be initially launched as a convertible powered by a range of new engines including a rumored 400 horsepower V6 supercharged engine. Lightweight 400 horsepower convertible. Wow, yes please! A coupe F-type will also be launched in 2014.

Hallamark also mentioned that the development schedule of the F-type has started with engineering prototypes now doing final on-road testing. Says Jaguar’s Vehicle Line director, the F-type will focus on maximum driving performance and pleasure. Coming from a car maker with extensive motorsports experience, the F-type had better be able to compete with Audi and the like.

The F-type will be built in Jaguar’s plant in Castle Bromwich and can be funded through MSG Cars car finance options.

New Yaris to join the hybrid party in UK

New Yaris to join the hybrid party in UK

Fuel is getting more expensive, tankers are on strike and pollution is on the rise. What do you when you get into situations like these? Well, it’s pretty darned simple. Go hybrid. Well, though its not fully electric-powered, at least you’ll save some money on your trips to the gas station. But not only will you save money on petrol though, Toyota has made it easier for you to purchase your hybrid car too. Yes, the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid is here, and guess what, it’s the cheapest hybrid car in the market with prices starting at £14,995. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show just recently, the hybrid Yaris is powered by a 1.5 liter VVT-I engine and coupled with an electric motor, it makes 98bhp. Weird though, because you would definitely expect it to produce more power since the ordinary petrol 1.5 liter Yaris makes slightly over 100bhp. Horsepower aside, the Yaris Hybrid is an excellent fuel saver. Toyota claims that its fuel consumption is world-class at 80.7mpg with 79g/km of CO2 emission. Its top of the line T Spirit models has a 76mpg fuel consumption with 85g/km emissions. Low on both emissions and fuel consumption, the Yaris Hybrid helps you save even more money as it meets the criteria for free road tax and London Congestion Charge exemption. The Yaris Hybrid comes in three trim levels. The entry level T3 is equipped with dual-zone air conditioning, front electronic windows, seven airbags, ABS and a CVT auto transmission. One step up, the T4 is equipped with 15” alloy wheels, front fog lights, rear LED lights, matching colours for door mirrors and handles, rear view camera and USB and Bluetooth ready. The top of the line T Spirit models get 16” inch alloy wheels and also enjoys cruise control, automatic headlights and wipers, electric windows all around, semi leather trimming and a not-very-sporty rear spoiler. The Yaris Hybrid is for sale now and will be delivered in July.

Entry Level Vauxhall Ampera Expected to Release May 2012

Entry Level Vauxhall Ampera Expected to Release May 2012

With electric cars being all the rage these days, even car companies with financial difficulties do not seem to mind jumping on the bandwagon if it gains them some ‘Green’ Brownie points!  Vauxhall, who recently decided they may close their substantial Ellesmore Port plant in Cheshire and consequently putting 2,100 jobs at risk due to cost cutting reasons, is set to launch an entry level variant of the new Vauxhall Ampera lineup of electric cars this summer.

The model has not been given a name but Vauxhall is already pretty keen on giving it a £29,995 price tag. This pricing also includes a £5000 ‘Plug-In’ grant offered by the government and is set to go on sale on the 1st of May together with the Ampera Positiv and Electron models.

A cheesy name for an electric car, the Positiv will set customers back £32,250 including the grant and it also comes jam-packed with other unnecessary energy consuming features like climate control, keyless entry, heated seats, a nifty seven-inch touch-screen as well as a parking camera.

Its counterpart, the Electron, costs slightly more at £33,995 but also gets a lot more features added on top of the Positiv like a seven-inch navigation touch screen, a huge 30 gigabyte hard drive as well as a DVD player to accompany an energy saving Bose audio system.

The 16kWh battery pack that comes with the car boasts an 8-year and 100,000 mile warranty that is transferrable. Also to ensure a longer life, the battery will also never be charged over 85% and de-charged below 22% of its capacity. After 8 long years of usage, the battery should still be 70% efficient.

For only £799, Ampera owners will receive a electric inspection at home as well as having a dedicate charging point installed with the ‘British Gas Home Charging Solution’ package. Instead of taking 6 hours to charge a car using a conventional wall socket, the wall mounted charger drawing 16 amps o charge will fully recharge the Ampera’s battery in only four short hours.

Vauxhall is thinking big as they expect to sell up to 3000 Ampera units in 2012 with sales rising up to 5000 in 2013.

No GLK? A facelifted Mercedes G-Class will do!

No GLK? A facelifted Mercedes G-Class will do

The UK is not getting a GLK model until 2015 but that’s okay because a slightly facelifted G-class will do. For the first time ever, the 3-decade old G class will enjoy some limelight at the Beijing Motor Show planned to happen next month.

What’s so new about it, though? Well the G-class receives subtle adjustments to the grille, headlamps with LED inserts and reworked mirror housings to bring some modern appeal to the age old motor.
That’s not all though. There is no replacement for displacement. With such a heavy car, you need a bigger power plant. So, goodbye to the 12 year old supercharged G55 AMG 500-horsepower 5.4 liter V8. The G63 AMG is getting a twin-turbocharged 5.5 liter V8 with 536 horsepower raging through the driver’s veins.
The new G65 however gets a bigger engine. Its going to get that big V12 engine you see in the SL65. Yes, that exact twin-turbocharged engine with a whopping 621 horsepower and 737 lbft of torque. All this power to move the 2500kg behemoth from naught to sixty in just 5.2 seconds to a top speed of 155mph. The G65 AMG will also be the only one in the G family to enjoy V12 power.
With the AMG models being the cream of the crop of the Mercedes lineup, the AMG G-class gets a new deeper front bumper with big air ducts to cool the engine better. That’s not all though. The AMG models also get larger brakes like the ones used in the ML63 AMG. Will they also come with outlandish side-exit exhaust pipes like the G55 AMG, nobody knows.
Big power and big capacity engines do not really mean big spending on fuel as the G-class models will come with a seven-speed 7G-tronic gearbox instead of the ordinary five-speed variant. The G63 will also come with a stop/start function and also brake energy regeneration.

While MSG Cars cant offer you Guaranteed car finance we can say that the Non Status products that we offer give those with a poor credit rating the very best chance to get approved there is !

Pamela Anderson and Markus Fux in Downforce1 Race Team

Pamela Anderson and Markus Fux in Downforce1

There is no hidden meaning in the name Downforce1. It definitely does not involve getting down and dirty forcefully and Markus’ last name is definitely not what you think it is.

Downforce1 is indeed a legit race team founded and owned by Pamela Anderson and is set to race in the NASCAR 2013 with Austrian driver Markus Fux as the main driver. However, a second driver has not been appointed yet.

That is not a problem, though. Markus Fux, who is the team coordinator and marketing chief, will initiate the racing team with its first Le Mans race at the 6 Heures Du Castellet event that will be held at the Circuit Paul Richard in the country where romantic men thrive, France.

Launched officially in March, DownForce 1 by Pamela Anderson, as she calls it in her official website www.downforce1 dot com , is apparently a brainchild of the former Baywatch actress, from idea to implementation.

Who would have known that the ex-Baywatch actress and PETA supporter was also an avid motorsports fan and petrol head. But we definitely won’t be expecting any bikini-clad hot, sexy women running down that pits – that would be a big distraction for a lot of people. Most people wouldn’t take her seriously though. It’s not uncommon that racecar drivers and women get pretty intimate in certain “videos”.

Aston Martin and Dunlop seem serious about her motorsport endeavors though, being the official partners. Downforce1 will be campaigning an Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT2 in its inaugural Le Mans Series in Europe. The Aston Martin race car is no joke either. With a 4.5 liter V8 engine pumping out 450bhp only to move a 1,150 kilogram chassis around the track; it is something you would not expect to see many women driving.

If the Le Mans race goes well for the Downforce 1 Team, a NASCAR outfit will be in order. Stated in her website that the team only took 4 months to set up, it also has 10 years of racing experience to boot. This will be interesting.

Next Gen Audi A3 closer to release with 80 Kg weight loss

Next Gen Audi A3 closer to release with 80 Kg weight loss

Its a top seller and it wears the Audi badge so should the German manufacturer have anything to worry about when it comes to updating its A3 range with a brand new design? Well first thoughts would be that Audi could simply release any old lump and the masses would still be queuing for the typical 10 weeks on a factory order but thankfully they don’t think like this and so plenty of thought has been packed in. The new platform will also make up the new VW Golf and so the VAG group really need to make sure they mess this development up or there will be big trouble coming their way. With the A3 now taking part in road testing a disguised version has been doing the press rounds for the nations finest motoring hacks to try out in the flesh and word back is promising. For starters the all important fuel consumption is down no part in thanks to an aluminium bonnet and front wings helping the A3 to drop an impressive 80Kgs and so efficiency benefits by 12 percent to be precise! Further down the line this also means that the high powered motors such as the S3 or RS3 will have quicker performance and sprint times. On the interior the space for driver and passengers has increased, while gadget lovers can look forward to and A8 touch-wheel interface and handwriting recognition technology. Another option of note is the ability to tick the box next to Magnetic ride for the suspension set up which has been used on models such as the R8 for some time. MSG Cars offer finance solutions on all models on motor so please get in touch no matter what your credit issues might have been.

New Vauxhall Astra VXR is here and has 276bhp and slip diff system

New Vauxhall Astra VXR is here and has 276bhp and slip diff system

Available for purchase by this spring – the Vauxhall Astra VXR is on show at the Geneva motor show and is the latest in a long line of hot hatch Vauxhall motors and is the fastest Astra we have seen. Based on the three door GTC Astra model the VXR receives an upgraded chassis and suspension to handle the massive 276bhp Turbo charged engine and its front wheel drive system incorporates a mechanical slip diff and Flexride dampers to tame the power and likely torque steer. It looks like 2012 will be interesting to say the least with the big three going head to head in the shape of the VW Gof GTI, Ford Focus ST and now the Astra too. The spring times of this vehicle will be 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds while the driver will have the ability to select one of two settings to adjust the handling, stiffness of steering and throttle responsiveness. The interior will be kitted with the usual VXR refinements such as bucket style race seats and now also a flat bottom steering wheel – while on the exterior the Astra VXR will stand out due to a bulked up body kit, twin exhaust, side skirts and will even have the option to order with an aero pack that gives some huge 20 inch alloy wheel and bi plane roof spoiler.
